I bought this for my five year old son so that he would stop playing on my phone. This device has tons of books, apps and videos. I have spent time looking at the settings and how things works. This device is great! There are a lot of reviews about how it is hard to use and does not have enough books, apps, etc. That is just not true. Take some time to go through and learn how it works. There are settings that limit whether you can download content. It is important to test these features before saying things are not available. Each thing must be downloaded. You will see a pick with an "X", touch it, then be patient while it downloads. Once it does it will show a check mark. You can touch and hold your finger on it to either remove it from the device, this does not remove the icon, just the loaded info...and it can be downloaded again later. The sound and the picture are wonderful . I am so pleased with this purchase and encourage others to calm down, be patient and learn how to use the device. It is not designed to be a ipad...if you want it to work like one...go buy one of those. It is designed to be a kid friendly place to play and learn. It should be judged as such. After getting fed up paying exuberant amounts for cable TV, that no one really watches I pushed to make the switch to cutting the cord. (A note for those looking to cut cable, the cost savings really comes from not having to rent all the 'boxes' for $10-12 a month.) I previously tried out a similar Paper Thin HDTV antenna and had less than satisfactory results. The difference in why this one gets five stars...its amplified.

For anyone looking into switching I cannot recommend enough, get the amplified version. I'm still in my testing phase, so right now my antenna lives resting in my window, where it catches all the major networks I wanted. Depending on your TV placement you could have to place this unit without a direct view to the outside, but even when I tried that most stations still came in clearly. My long term plan for this is actually to mount it in the attic and split the signal among several TV's. I tested this briefly and event with signal reduction of using a splitter, I had four TV's running at once with no problems.

I have just recently finished updating my home theater/home audio setup for my den. I had "graduated" from a 35" RCA tube tv weighing 165 lbs to a new 50" LED flatscreen. I also updated the sound as well. I moved a Kenwood receiver out and in its place put a nice Sony Audio/Video receiver with lots of bells and whistles. I also went with JBL ES series speakers all around including a 12" powered sub woofer. Now......the den sounds like the finest movie theater. Incredible sound and awesome picture.

BUT, I still had nothing for just the odd time I need or want to watch something on television. Having kicked the satellite habit at a hundred bucks a month I was limited to what I could get over the air. I had installed a couple of digital antennas to co-exist with my old boom type antenna for my living room where my wife watches most of her television, but I had nothing for my den where I spend most of my listening/viewing time. I could have gotten a splitter and about 70 feet of coax and went under the house to run it from the living room to the den, drill a few holes through the floor, etc. Too much trouble.

I saw this and said......what the heck. It had some decent reviews and was modest in cost so I took a gamble and ordered it. I hooked it up not really expecting anything drastic. I just sat it on one of my tower speakers aimed toward my glass sliding door out to the back deck. Was I ever amazed that it picked up some 14 channels from the airwaves. A good lightning cable that works well and sellsfor a good price!

Between having iPhones and iPads we need lightning cables in multiple places. We have them in our bedroom to charge our tablets at night. We have them in several computers. We have them in the kitchen, office and even in both of our cars. When you purchase a lightning cable you have to make sure that it is MFI certified so it will work with your IOS7 devices. You also have to make sure that it is made of high quality materials, like a large diameter of wire to carry the adequate current to charge your devices at the maximum rate.

I also look at the strain reliefs on the cable to make sure that they are nicely designed as this is one of the things that makes the cable hold up under constant use. I also have several iPhone 5S units and I make sure that the cable easily fits into the charging port of the iPhone and case. I refuse to remove a phone from a case to charge or sync it. I do testing on every cable I review on how well they sync the devices with my computers and how does the charging rate compare to the original Apple lightning cable. I actually make measurements of the voltage and current passing through the wire.

The cable is 40.5 inches long and it is certified to be compatible with Apple products. That means that it has an Apple chip in it that is recognized by your IOS7 devices as an acceptable cable for charging. First steamer defective, second steamer a winner!

I'm past my return window or this would be going back. I liked it at first but now whenever I use it, the water gets so hot it boils out of the steam vents all over the clothes I'm steaming or onto the floor or wherever the nozzle is pointing. It was not over filled! In fact, I tried pouring most of the water out and it still happens. What a mess to clean up when I'm only steaming as a time saver over ironing anyway - and then I couldn't even wear the item I was steaming because it was soaked in the areas where the scalding water had shot onto it. I'm truly disappointed. Wish I could even exchange it - bummer.

2/12/15 - update: After leaving the review above, I was immediately contacted by the seller and offered a replacement unit. I accepted, received it within a week, used it this morning and am happy. It is first-rate customer service in this day and age to have any seller give a hoot about a bad review not to mention have their policy reflect courtesy and promptness. Most importantly, the replacement product works just fine. All things considered the best way to go is to not have defective products at all, but nothing is perfect, and the way they handled the situation was quite satisfactory. So I'm leaving my one-star rating, hoping any consumer in a similar situation will read and know they'll be taken care of. Also in hopes that a consumer even considering purchasing this product will see that even if the unit they order is a defective one, they'll be treated respectfully and fairly in the returns process. Black &Decker Steam Iron F210 I wanted a lightweight steam iron since I have arthritis in my hands and plenty of ironing to do. Almost every iron I looked at, especially the more expensive ones, seemed to have been designed and tested by men who've never ironed in their lives, and are weightlifting body builders with huge hands and strong fingers to press steam and spray buttons. Fill one of those irons with water and you'd be lucky to drag it across an ironing board, never mind lift it and maneuver it around the garment 20-40 times as you iron each item.

The Black & Decker F210 steam iron seemed perfect for my needs, very lightweight, with all the key features I want, except auto shut-off. It has adjustable continuous steam, dampening spray, fabric heat settings, even a bonus ridiculously low $14 price tag, everything I wanted without the hand-numbing weight. Pleased with myself and my purchase, I toted it home, filled it with water, plugged it in, and from there it all went downhill.

The F210 proceeded to sputter, spit, spurt, dribble and drool water all over the ironing board and garment while I tried everything possible to make it function properly. I adjusted the fabric heat settings and steam settings, gave it more time to heat up, laid the iron flat, stood it up vertically (on its rather wobbly base) and checked to make sure I hadn't overfilled it, but nothing cured this iron's chronic incontinence, it continued to let loose all over my clothes. Amazed this iron had even made it onto the market, I gave up, unplugged the iron and got ready for bed.Read more ›

This filter was a snap to install, and once I did my water pressure from the dispenser was back to normal. If you've
got a refrigerator that uses one of these filters and the water's been coming out slow then it's probably time for a new filter. One word of advice: use a big water pitcher for the first use of the dispenser after the filter change - the pressure has to readjust and it will spit out a few huge blasts of water that will overwhelm your normal water glass. After the couple of big blasts though, you get constant good pressure, better than you remembered was even possible after the gradual slow down with your old filter.

Wow! I'm a little shocked at the bad reviews! I bought this on black friday for $[...] and I LOVE it! I had previously used a swiffer sweep & vac (the battery died and it didn't clean up bigger messes) and then I bought the shark stick vac (one of my kids knocked it over and cracked it). So I purchased this as a third stick vac. I love it. It is very powerful, I don't understand these people saying it doesn't pick up messes. It totally picks up messes big and small!!! We remodeled our kitchen and I used it to vaccumm little sheetrock particles as well as the every day messes my 4, 5 year old kids & 3 year old lab leave behind. I have had some issues finding a new filter at walmart and target but I suspect I will find one easily online. Overall I LOVE this vac. I use it only for my tile areas and yes maybe you do have to empty it semi-often (but I have forgotten about it alot and never had a problem)it works great for cleaning up after my 2 kids and dog.

I got this vacuum on one of those Black Friday deals, and wasn't expecting much, since it was so cheap, & the box was so light. When I opened it, and it went together like a lego toy, I was skeptical. But it's amazing!! It's never going to be your only vacuum if you have a big house (the wheel base is small, so you'd be doing a lot of walking back & forth), but if you have a little apartment, or want to keep a seperate vacuum upstairs, or in different rooms of your house, this vacuum is perfect for that! It's basically a hand-held vac, that has a detachable stick-handle, vacuum/wheel base, and crevice tool. Unlike the cordless hand-vacs, it doesn't lose power after 30 seconds, because it's electric. The crevice tool works great, and it's as light weight as one of those kids' toy vacuums. Also, when I emptied it (you will have to empty it pretty much every time you use it, but what do you expect?) I was shocked at how much dirt was in it- I'd just vacuumed with my expensive vacuum, the other day. I'm definitely glad I got this. I'd recommend it for apartment or dorm living, multi-level houses, and small offices.
