I'm past my return window or this would be going back. I liked it at first but now whenever I use it, the water gets so hot it boils out of the steam vents all over the clothes I'm steaming or onto the floor or wherever the nozzle is pointing. It was not over filled! In fact, I tried pouring most of the water out and it still happens. What a mess to clean up when I'm only steaming as a time saver over ironing anyway - and then I couldn't even wear the item I was steaming because it was soaked in the areas where the scalding water had shot onto it. I'm truly disappointed. Wish I could even exchange it - bummer.

2/12/15 - update: After leaving the review above, I was immediately contacted by the seller and offered a replacement unit. I accepted, received it within a week, used it this morning and am happy. It is first-rate customer service in this day and age to have any seller give a hoot about a bad review not to mention have their policy reflect courtesy and promptness. Most importantly, the replacement product works just fine. All things considered the best way to go is to not have defective products at all, but nothing is perfect, and the way they handled the situation was quite satisfactory. So I'm leaving my one-star rating, hoping any consumer in a similar situation will read and know they'll be taken care of. Also in hopes that a consumer even considering purchasing this product will see that even if the unit they order is a defective one, they'll be treated respectfully and fairly in the returns process. For the record, this steamer (the replacement unit that works properly) gets 5 stars. ;)

Black &Decker Steam Iron F210 I wanted a lightweight steam iron since I have arthritis in my hands and plenty of ironing to do. Almost every iron I looked at, especially the more expensive ones, seemed to have been designed and tested by men who've never ironed in their lives, and are weightlifting body builders with huge hands and strong fingers to press steam and spray buttons. Fill one of those irons with water and you'd be lucky to drag it across an ironing board, never mind lift it and maneuver it around the garment 20-40 times as you iron each item.

The Black & Decker F210 steam iron seemed perfect for my needs, very lightweight, with all the key features I want, except auto shut-off. It has adjustable continuous steam, dampening spray, fabric heat settings, even a bonus ridiculously low $14 price tag, everything I wanted without the hand-numbing weight. Pleased with myself and my purchase, I toted it home, filled it with water, plugged it in, and from there it all went downhill.

The F210 proceeded to sputter, spit, spurt, dribble and drool water all over the ironing board and garment while I tried everything possible to make it function properly. I adjusted the fabric heat settings and steam settings, gave it more time to heat up, laid the iron flat, stood it up vertically (on its rather wobbly base) and checked to make sure I hadn't overfilled it, but nothing cured this iron's chronic incontinence, it continued to let loose all over my clothes. Amazed this iron had even made it onto the market, I gave up, unplugged the iron and got ready for bed.Read more ›

This filter was a snap to install, and once I did my water pressure from the dispenser was back to normal. If you've
got a refrigerator that uses one of these filters and the water's been coming out slow then it's probably time for a new filter. One word of advice: use a big water pitcher for the first use of the dispenser after the filter change - the pressure has to readjust and it will spit out a few huge blasts of water that will overwhelm your normal water glass. After the couple of big blasts though, you get constant good pressure, better than you remembered was even possible after the gradual slow down with your old filter.

This filter is rated at 750 gallons capacity. If the consumer uses one gallon of water per day in the form of water from the refrigerator dispenser and ice from the ice dispenser, the filter will last 750 days; i.e., just over TWO years. In general, there is no reason to replace the filter yearly, unless you have a really yuccky water source.

In a small household of two adults, the filter should last considerably longer than two years. Furthermore, with the addition of a filtered water dispenser at the sink (such as a GE undercounter unit), the refrigerator filter would be functional for a few years. The undercounter units have a quite large capacity and some use two filter cartridges.

Wow! I'm a little shocked at the bad reviews! I bought this on black friday for $[...] and I LOVE it! I had previously used a swiffer sweep & vac (the battery died and it didn't clean up bigger messes) and then I bought the shark stick vac (one of my kids knocked it over and cracked it). So I purchased this as a third stick vac. I love it. It is very powerful, I don't understand these people saying it doesn't pick up messes. It totally picks up messes big and small!!! We remodeled our kitchen and I used it to vaccumm little sheetrock particles as well as the every day messes my 4, 5 year old kids & 3 year old lab leave behind. I have had some issues finding a new filter at walmart and target but I suspect I will find one easily online. Overall I LOVE this vac. I use it only for my tile areas and yes maybe you do have to empty it semi-often (but I have forgotten about it alot and never had a problem)it works great for cleaning up after my 2 kids and dog.

I got this vacuum on one of those Black Friday deals, and wasn't expecting much, since it was so cheap, & the box was so light. When I opened it, and it went together like a lego toy, I was skeptical. But it's amazing!! It's never going to be your only vacuum if you have a big house (the wheel base is small, so you'd be doing a lot of walking back & forth), but if you have a little apartment, or want to keep a seperate vacuum upstairs, or in different rooms of your house, this vacuum is perfect for that! It's basically a hand-held vac, that has a detachable stick-handle, vacuum/wheel base, and crevice tool. Unlike the cordless hand-vacs, it doesn't lose power after 30 seconds, because it's electric. The crevice tool works great, and it's as light weight as one of those kids' toy vacuums. Also, when I emptied it (you will have to empty it pretty much every time you use it, but what do you expect?) I was shocked at how much dirt was in it- I'd just vacuumed with my expensive vacuum, the other day. I'm definitely glad I got this. I'd recommend it for apartment or dorm living, multi-level houses, and small offices.

Allergies all year around and being hit the hardest in the spring is just a horrible experience. With a drought, it just gets worst

Innogear's 120ml diffuser is a pretty nice choice to bring some relief to my allergies as it releases moisture into the air and allows me to control the amount by a bit and include some essential oil to clear my sinus

Contents:
Diffuser
Measuring cup
Wall charger

Diffuser:
Very simple as the rubber feet/plug goes into the base
The top just simply twists off
The left button adjusts the color with a beep to confirm that it received a proper touch
One cycle of the colors is just a slow calm shifting and the rest are solid colors
Right button allows me to toggle between 3 settings: off, (green LED) on 30 seconds and pause 30 seconds, (red LED) continuous cycle (check the video for reference)
Fan is at the bottom to release any heat produced

Quick twist to the top allowed me to open the diffuser to add water/essential oil (3 drops of oil is plenty)
There is an air intake valve that is not recommended to allow water to enter
The inside base has an ultrasonic vibrator that causes the water to be released into the air
On the cylinder under the cap is a measuring level

Measuring cup itself goes up to 100ml, max of this diffuser is 120ml

Just fill it up with water and add some oil into the cylinder
Twist the top on
Hit the power button and I am ready to bring relief to my sinus
Mist comes out, but not as noticeable as other diffusers I have used, but I do see it

The fan is not too loud, it's like a white noise in the background, if that bothers you, may need to run it before it is time to sleep

Overall, the Innogear

Aroma Digital Rice Cooker and Food Steamer is going to be your best friend if you cook and eat rice often. The last thing you want is uncooked hard rice that’s not edible or burnt. There are many cheaper alternatives with a single switch that can cook or keep warm, but this rice cooker can delay up to 15 hours, which is perfect to get it ready for coming home after work. I’ve tried out a few rice cooker myself, and this works perfectly to prepare some steamy rice that’s just right. That’s coming from an Asian who grew up eating rice everyday too!

This cooker comes in a cube box with a lot of helpful information around it, claiming that it can cook from 2 to 8 cups of rice, and cook all sorts of other things like vegetable, soup, and more. From my experience of cooking rice for myself, prepping for 1 cup of rice seems to be okay too. You can open the lid of the rice cooker by pressing the button attached on the handle, and there’s more parts like the white plastic tray with holes that you can use to steam vegetables and a measuring cup to scoop out the right amount of rice. Apparently the vegetable tray is BPA free so it won’t be harmful, sweet.

To make rice, I put a cup of raw rice into the bowl using the measuring cup first. Then I poured water, rinsed it enough to clean rice, and put fresh water up to the water level written inside the bowl. Then I simply put the bowl into the rice cooker, closed the lid, turned it on, and pressed “White Rice” button (Other available buttons are Brown Rice, Steam, and Keep Warm.) You can also press on the Delay Timer to schedule your meal for up to 15 hours. This feature was handy when I set it in the morning, went to work, and came back to find this cooker finishing up cooking my rice.

After those few steps, you just need to wait.Read more ›

My son gave me Stainless steel Chef's Knife (Kanesada) and its pairing small knife a year ago. I kept the knife sharp using a sharpening steel. Then, after about 1 year, the knife unfortunately got dull. No matter what I did I could not get it back to the way it was when it was new. I used 6 different sharpening gadgets including an oiled wet-stone, a powered work-shop knife sharpener, two traditional kitchen knife sharpeners and even a special diamond coated gadget from our local gourmet shop. They all got the knife sharp, as sharp as all my other knives, but it was no longer dramatically better than the cheap knives.

Based on the 5 star reviews, I decided to give the KitchenIQ 50009 Edge Grip 2 Stage Knife Sharpener a try. After carefully following the instructions, the knife was restored to it's like-new scary sharpness on the first sharpening. It has stayed sharp for 2 weeks with much use.

We have since sharpened several other knives with similar high quality results.

It's a really great tool!

I've owned some type of Dustbuster/handvac for the last twenty years and I don't think I've ever ever had one that I didn't hate. Too little suction power, not enough charge time, the suction nozzle is awkward to use, and the batteries are always dead after a couple minutes. I can keep them plugged into the wall all the time, but that kills the battery and wastes electricity. I have found it much more effective to just use the suction hose on my upright, even though that means lugging my vacuum around. So I decided to see what is new in handvac technology and if they have improved at all over the last ten years. Fortunately, I can say that they have.

The Black and Decker 14.4v Lithium Ion DustBuster is the same handvac as the Black &Decker CHV1410 Dustbuster 14.4-Volt Cordless Cyclonic Hand Vac except it contains a Lithium-Ion (LIB) battery, whereas the standard CHV1410 contains a nickel-cadmium (Ni-Cd) battery. If you're trying to decide between the two devices, I would recommend this Lithium-Ion model due to the advantages of the battery:

1. Higher energy density - this means that the LIB battery can hold more energy per volume. In this case the CHV1410L holds about twice the amount of energy as the CHV1410.
2. Greater power density - this refers to bursts of power the battery is capable. It works well when combined with the higher energy density mentioned above.
3. No memory effect - this is something you might have noticed with a Ni-Cd battery. These batteries work best when you fully discharge the battery and then recharge it. With a Dustbuster, you're almost never going to do this.Read more ›
